Karl, I am unable to replicate with a single USB stick. Plug in & it's
recognized on the both the desktop & in Nautilus. Remove and it's
removed from the desktop & Nautilis / rinse-repeat & works. I don't have
a second stick available to test, but do you get the same results if you
try with the same stick? Give that a try.
If that works, try the first, then be sure to unmount it first. Then try
with the second.
