  Updated Kernel-Will Future Updates Downgrade Kernel?

Hi,

I updated my kernel to a newer Release Candidate version.

Will future kernel updates using Update manager
downgrade the newer kernel I am using?

If yes, then is there a way to tell Ubuntu not to do this?
(I am using Ubuntu 10.04 32bit and 2.6.35-rc1-lucid kernel)
