Wrong screen resolution via KVM

xorg.conf will be used if there is appropriate information there.  If KVM  
means Keyboard/Video/Mouse switch, then you will probably need an  
xorg.conf anyway as the cheaper ones don’t pass the appropriate  
information through for the detection of the monitor.
