Installing a printer

As an update, I managed to get the printer driver compiled and
installed.  I'm trying to print via usb:/dev/ttyUSB0?baud=9600.

Nothing gets printed.  I know it is connected as I can cat
> /dev/ttyUSB0 and I can print to it with little issue.
