Laptop automatically reboots multiple times (Ubuntu 10.04)

Is it a new laptop?



1. Install the packages lm-sensors, sensors-applet.


When asked "Should the hddtemp daemon be started at boot?", enable it.


2. Reboot and add the Hardware Sensors Monitor applet to a panel
(preferably the low one).


Right-click on it and configure it, adding the hard disks. 


In General options choose "label with value".


This will help you find out if you have a temperature problem.
