Connecting

No not a stupid question but coming from a MS world of set and forget I 
really have a lot to learn and not a huge tekie it is a bit of a curve.

Samba is set up but not sure if I configed files.
I would like if possible to do an auto back up but if that is not possible, 
I can do either or form server or pc what ever would be easiest.
