What you need to do is access the logs and see what happened there. I sounds
like a hardware issue ( but could completely be off here). Having the exact
same model as you, I could install 9.10, 10.0.4 via usb stick and External
SuperDrive without any freeze or KPs. Give us a copy of the logs here.
