10.04 again working

Well finally got the BIG /home/karl partition to load. It is
/dev/sda12 and it is loaded by /etc/fstab. I tried to guess what to do
and failed. It would not load. Had to find what worked that is:

         /dev/sda12 /home ext4 defaults 1 2

I am now using the new 10.04 at /dev/sda2. This should be good news
to people who still believe only the primary partitions are good.

Now I have vlc d/l and can again see my pictures and movies.
Still need to get the libs so I can see DVD movies AFTER I fix my hardware.

The big /home/karl contains my many control files for
thunderbird and Firefox to name two. It is hard to know how important
these files are until you loose them.

The "secret" to the fstab line is defaults. Without this word it
will not load. Who would guess :-)
