PC does not recognize live CD

Hi
Do you have wright settings in BIOS, some machines has got boot from CD disabled, enter set up by pressing DEL or other key.
Or try other distro's live CD. I will wait for 10.4.1 on my PC doesn't display....

Hmmm. I have not had the live CD problem on my hardware but I have heard reports from friends that they don't work on some hardware and knowledgeable people have reported problems in diagnosing the problem. Hiding bootup detail doesn't help matters.


I did find the cdromupgrade script on the alt CD broken - it asks for a CD label other than that on the iso.

There is a plethora of complaints about Lucid. Hopefully the 10.04.1 release will reduce the noise. Replacing Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt with Love, Enthusiasm and Faith should be our goal.

Oh dear, oh dear...........



Both of the Live CDs for 9.10 and 10.04 I have, and downloaded from

either my ISP or from the Main Repo at Canonical, are booting/going

live/installing without a ANY PROBLEMS!



Please stop spreading FUD around!
