A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.

It's also polite/considerate to trim your posts - expecting people to
scroll through hundreds of lines of your log files to see if there's
any further comments isn't going to incline them to want to reply. You
said yourself "it's too big to attach", and yet you still did it - it
would be nicer to use a "paste bin" service [1] to make your posts
more legible. Then replying and including the same content again is
just infuriating (and top-posting encourages this behaviour, because
by top-posting you're not taking any time to considerately compose
your message, you just bang off a reply)
