I've seen it with defective power supplies, hard disk drives, and 
motherboards, too. A Dell server at a school I help was having 
spontaneous rebooting issues. Dell replaced the CPU, RAM, and power 
supply. It turned out to have the "bulging capacitor" problem on the 
motherboard and once the motherboard was replaced, all was well. It's 
not always an easy problem to troubleshoot.
