anyone downloaded/installed publican 2.0 beta on lynx?

  i asked on the publican list but have heard nothing.  there's a
publican package for ubuntu but it's timestamped and it seems pretty
clear that it's not the imminent version of 2.0.

that refers to 1.99 but only for fedora rpms.  anyone here immersed in
publican and had a chance to install the new stuff on ubuntu?
