Actually it probably wont. 10.04 is an LTS release and by default it
doesn't offer to upgrade to non-LTS releases (of which 10.10 is one).
You need to open update-manager and click 'settings' then make sure
that you "Change the Release Upgrade drop down to "Normal Releases"
and close the application", as per:-
