/var/log gone ?

It's really a strange thing, indeed. When I wrote this last night, 
/var/log didn't show up after cd'ing into /var and ls -la. It didn't 
show up under System>Administration either. After I ran a RKHunter and a 
Tiger scan, they're back. Hmmmm.
