ssh color prompt

Hi All,

I do ssh a lot to remote machines. What I would like to do is to get a different 
color prompt for the machine I am sshing to.
For instance the color prompt is the default green on my machine. I would like 
to have (just an example) a blue or red or whatever color for the prompt of the 
remote machine. I can manually change it, but can it be done automatically.

I am either too stupid to come back with a solution after googling, or I am 
searching for the wrong information.

Does anybody on this list know if it can be done and could point me in the right 
direction for my research.
