wireless 10.04 disconnect

Hi,

I do have a up to date 10.04 (2.6.32-24-generic i686) installation on a T60 with
an Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02).
My router is a Cisco WRT610N rev 1 with dd-wrt v24 preSP2 (Build13064).

The wireless disconnects from time to time but usually reconnects by itself
after a couple of seconds. However either if I download a file, vpn to work
(with vpnc from the command line), watch an occasional youtube or like,
guaranteed , I will be disconnected and then either have to turn off the wifi
switch or disable it through the applet to be able to reconnect. I have been
looking (google, launchpad, etc ....) for a solution, I applied all the "fix' I
could find but it still happens. I always restored my system from an image
before applying a new "fix".

I am at a loss. does anybody have a workaround for that.

If you need more info, please ask.

I used to have Debian on my T60 and never had this problem. All other laptops
are running Debian and no issue at all. I tried ubuntu on my Lattitude 4400 and
I got disconnected too.

Thank you

Arnaud
