There is another option:
http://www.playonlinux.com/en
I am not sure if MS Office 2010 is part of their repos, but it has it's own
custom Wine version and helps you with installing .Net and other Microsoft
only stuff....
You can also create your own Policy file with the specific setting you need
for Office 2010.
And for the rest:
The OP already declared he likes Ubuntu very much - please live it at that.
There is no need to flame him for his choice to use MSs software - he is
actually trying his best to make it work under Linux instead of just giving
up and go back to MS World...
I urge you: If you don't have any input regarding his specific question -
say nothing at all!
That's not the right way t welcome a new user to the GNU/Linux community!
