On same machine, same printer do work on MSwindows, and it is
connected through parallel port.

The Ubuntu version is 10.04. When I start computer. printer do beep
during that process, which indicate (?) proper connection.

On my LapTop, which has no parallel port (if I see it from look and
appearance), but there is /dev/lp0
