Unity when running in Virtualbox

I set up Natty beta1 in Virtualbox but it dosen't look like the 
screenshot on the Ubuntu website.  No dock running down the left side 
and reading the docs about the desktop it talks about Gnome 2.32.1.

I gave it more video memory, enabled 3D acceleration  and restarted but 
it was still the same.

I tried booting my actual machine from the install cd but that still 
didn't seem to let me use Unity.

Is it possible to test drive Unity without installing it on an actual 
machine?
