Are "system[76]" Ubuntu Desktop Computers Good?

An overwhelming majority seem to have positive comments. There is a lot
of emphasis on the quality of support received and everything working
out of the box.

System76 seems to have employees provide support via email and to
customers that post issues to:

One customer wasn't happy with the limitations of the warranty provided
by system76 and started a new thread. He also noted that the LCD screen
would touch the keyboard when closed.

This customer seems to believe that system76 uses a combination of 2
other companies to build their laptops for customers. I have no idea how
to verify his claim.
