with natty beta 2, where can i check the integrity of the CD?

It is. When the first screen comes up (small keyboard icon at the bottom
of the screen) press the Enter key. You then select your Language & the
next screen will be the standard liveCD startup screen with:

  Try Ubuntu witout installing
  Install Ubuntu
  Check disk for defects <=== this is the one you are looking for
  Test memory
  Boot from first hard disk
