I have a HP DL360G7 with 10 Network interfaces
4 Broadcom 1GE nics (on board) using the bnx2 kernel module
4 Intel e1000 NICS (on one card) using the e1000 kernel module
2 Myricom 10GE NICS (dual port card) using the myri10ge module.
On boot dmesg shows the NICS with their correct MAC addresses. Once I
am able to log into the system however all NICS have the same MAC.
ifconfig and the traffic captures show all NICs are the same MAC.
Ifconfig does not properly set the MAC either.
if i do an rmmod bnx2 and modprob bnx2 the broadcom nics all get their
correct MAC-addresses. The same is true for the other drivers.
This box is going to be used as a Snort IPS and so I need all of the
network interfaces to have separate MAC addresses.
