8.04 is pretty old now.  I bought the e-book version of the "Ubuntu
10.10 Server Administration and Reference" by Richard Petersen from
Amazon for less than $10.   I suspect that much of the contents would
apply equally well to prior versions.   E-ISBN-13 978-1-936280-07-0,
Surfing Turtle Press, Alamedia, CA.  Might be worth a look; it has been
helpful to me.
