Natty heats up Sony Vaio Laptop

That would be my guess. I've been running natty on an HP G60 laptop for
some time now. The laptop also has maverick on it & I monitor the cpu &
temps on both when they are booted. Natty actually runs cooler (about
1-2C less) than maverick. But I suspect that is because I have more
services running on maverick when booted.
