I think it makes no sense to have Unity 3D and GNOME classic as the
default options. If you have spent a significant amount of time and
effort to design and develop Unity then it makes total sense to put
Unity 3D and 2D on the CD. 2D isnt ready yet (or rather is less ready
than 3D) so we'll wait till 11.10 for that to happen.

For a brand new user (of which there are a potential billion or so) it
looks odd to have two completely different interfaces on the CD
depending on whether some piece of hardware exists in their PC or not.
