Getting rid of Unity?

I left kubuntu because they butchered the pulse audio system up. I
blamed pulse for the longest time. Then I installed ubuntu/gnome and it
worked a treat! So, I installed KDE desktop AFTER, and pulse still
worked. I got a nice 5.1 sound system for Xmas and I wanted it to work.
Now, it does. Plus, I didn't like the list Nazi, which was the last nail
in the coffin. I don't think I've ever used that peanut gizmo. It's like
oatmeal in the morning, it's just there. :) Ric
