Their online support thingie sux, IMHO.

When I tried Mint, I couldn't find it either until I had set up my Mint
account online and explored around in there to find it. I hated that so
much I ripped out Mint, leaving the Ubuntu part intact, as best I could.
If I was brand new as a user, I'd install Ubuntu or Xubuntu cleanly.

No games work (They won't launch)

They are in /usr/games so not in your path. Either edit your path or
just make links from the binary in /usr/game/ to /usr/bin/. That cranks
up those small games when you click on 'em, I've found.

have you enabled your video card drivers yet?? If not, you're
practically running vanilla VGA. Some screen savers should work, but not
the OpenGL ones. What kind of video does your machine have?

I'd really rather not have to hose

If you have a Linux User Group or a local college or Junior College, you
might find some local help. Order a large pizza.
