'archive.ubuntu.com' is the main site; the standard repositories are
saved on '/etc/apt/sources.list'; additional repositories will
usually be files under the '/etc/apt/sources.list.d' directory.
The way I do it is to edit /etc/apt/sources.list and change the
hostnames to 'archive.ubuntu.com'. With 'vi', you can:
:1,$s/\/us./\//
or
:1,$s/us.archive/archive/
(since the US archive is called 'us.archive.ubuntu.com')
Then I would check any additional repositories under the
'/etc/apt/sources.list.d' to see if they need to be changed also
(for example, I use to put the DDEBs repositories there).
I am not sure if there is another (programatic) process to do it on
a server.
Hope it helps,
..C..
