Thank you, Christoph, for your offer of help.  Here is my reply (on the
listserv as you asked).  My apologies for not sending you an absolute
'minimal example'.  It was, I claim, pretty close to minimal.  Again,
I thank you.  In the meantime, I have dug through the code and found
both a configuration error and a pstricks syntax error.

I haven't had time to exercise it thoroughly (it's a rugby weekend);
but I will.  Stay tuned, I'm sure I'll have more questions.
