Uh? Beside using the word poop, that could or could not be a bad word,
depending on who reads it, you just did the same thing that seems to
disturb you: expressed your opinion (not just about mail but about the
expression of opinions). Why, I'm allowed to have an opinion (thank you
a lot, sir!) but not to broadcast it? Gee... that's very nice...
Coming to the point, you talk about top posting when citing an opinion
(well, not exactly an opinion, more on this shortly) about mail that
should be in plain text as opposed to html. Nice logic...
As I hinted above, the statement by Liam is *not* an opinion. Is a
standard. RFC 5322, See clause 2.3 of that document which states that
/The body of a message is simply lines of US-ASCII characters./
MIME messages, such as HTML mail are extensions.
By the way, I'm a PhD too, two times, but I do not feel that is worth
bragging about, except with those who deserve it.
