How to install Ubuntu on MIB byte boundaries ?

gparted is exceptionally easy and safe to use.  Nothing happens when you 
click...it justs places your action in a pending list, which is always 
visible.  Until you tell it to run the pending items, nothing happens.  
If you panic just quit.
