Everybody /NOT/ happy. Ubuntu, the distro for 'Humanity', the savior
of the little people, the disenfranchised, the third world, has thrown
away some of its longest-time 'members' because they wanted to speak
openly without censorship on a list that has long been described as
allowing, even encouraging, that very thing.
They (and I) feel betrayed, lied-to and left out in the cold.
...left out by Mark Shuttleworth, Alan Pope, Daniel Holbach, Matthew
East, Mike Basinger, Benjamin Mako Hill, Emmet Hikory and Elizabeth
Krumbach.
I originally came to Ubuntu because of the avowed dedication
to humanity.
Where, I ask you, is the humanity, the Ubuntu-ness, in that?
How, indeed, does this act serve Ubuntu as a whole? ...or people?
Wherein lies that happiness of which you spoke?
Here's a little something about which to think:
If we are all members of the Ubuntu 'community then when do we vote for
the CC?
From:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CommunityCouncil
Members are appointed by Mark Shuttleworth and approved by a vote by
the entire Ubuntu membership.
I think we've been led to believe that the,"entire Ubuntu membership,"
includes each and every one of us. Where's my ballot? Where /have
been/ my ballots in the past? How about voting notification?
Again, community/Community.
