I generally just filter all digest mail and habitual top poster's mail to the 
trash-bin along with those person's mail which seems only to be trollish.  
Generally about 38 mails per day or so.  I check from time to time but so far 
I haven't found any I needed to take out of the bin.  ...Well, this one as it 
was a reply to a digest, but yours is the first in perhaps four months!  
Kmail's filter system is excellent for setting up the proper filtering but I 
think all mailers these days have the capability to do this.
