Problem with Natty under VirtualBox

You are installing the virtual box drivers and letting it build a kernel
for it on first boot right? (Devices, Install Guest Additions) That
makes a world of difference for virtual machines.

If it's not that check your settings make sure your giving enough ram
and if you have a slow processor maybe give 2 cores. Also make sure your
processor supports and is turned on virtualization Acceleration (BIOS:
AMDV etc).  

I never had any problems with Ubuntu inside a virtual machine on a AMD
Phenom II 1090T (or 955) BE with Virtualbox with both my host system as
Ubuntu & Windows 7. :) Let us know what you find out.
