Lst weekend I made a mistake, and removed the kernel from my LTS machine.
Thanks to some helpful folks on this list, I was able to get it loaded
back, and had a bit oif a problem with loading the nvidia kernel module. I
managed to get it loaded y deleting and reinstalling some packages, ad th
machine worked fine all week.

But this weekend, I rebooted the machine, and it cannot load the nvidia
kernel module. The macin is running the 2.6.32-31 generic kernel, and I see
a file in /lib/modules/2.6.32-31-generic/jernel/drivers/video/nvidia mamed
nvidafb.ko thta looks like it should be this moduel. but when I try to
modprobe this file I get soem errors.

Can anyone sugest how to clena up the ess I have made?
