I have successfully virtualized my Windows installation and made it run in
qemu-kvm. It's not an easy thing, but it's possible.

However virtualizing a 64bit OS and trying to get it to run within a 32 bit
OS is not going to happen. You need to run a 64bit OS as the host to be able
to run 64bit guests.
