Have you just gone ahead and let it do the downloads so it can finish
upgrading?
Note: I missed that bit when replying & only concentrated on the
'Distribution Upgrade Processes Exited with Code 1.'. It appears that
your /etc/apt/sources.list now has 'natty' references - you can check
using a terminal with:
$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
A 10.10 with show references as such as:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu natty main restricted
If it's been converted, it will show:
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu natty main restricted
or similar.
