Upgrade to 11.04

You can also use the CD to do an upgrade too (using Ubiquity installer),
I had better luck on our systems using the live CD upgrade.

IMO the pro of the clean CD is also a con sadly, you would get a clean
system but you start out with a clean system, you have to take the hour
or two to get everything back to how you had it.  The update manager can
go smoothly, I just didn't have much luck with it myself, but plenty have.
