Personally, I'm a LastPass user (generates and stores my web focused
passwords securely) and KeyPass (which I use for the same thing but
for applications, such as SSH key passwords being typed into shells
and suchlike).

Acorss 54 sites, my average password length is 20.1 bytes (I try to
generate 32 byte passwords by default but some sites restrict me down
to say 12). I'd never be able to manage this without a system of
storing these passwords and more importantly, generating them in the
first place.

I heartily recommend either of these two applications - especially for
all you Sony victi... erm... clients.
