edge scrolling

I have a dell 1525n that I just upgraded from 10.04 to 11.04.  When I go
into Natty, neither the vertical nor horizontal edge scrolling works (it did
with 8.04 LTS & 10.04 LTS.)

When I go into Ubuntu Classic, the vertical edge scrolling works but not the
horizontal scrolling.

It seems odd that it works in gnome but not natty.  I thought this type of
thing was in the kernel.

If anyone knows what I can try to resolve this, I would very much appreciate
it.  I had no idea how much I used vertical scrolling!
