Yes.

Yes. It shows in /var/log/syslog as this line:

Oct 14 20:23:49 monkey kernel: [16509.860121] No probe response from AP 
e0:46:9a:05:59:46 after 500ms, disconnecting.

The one time I've looked, my housemate's computer was also disconnected.
