They should do. Keyboards are part of the USB spec, so there's no
excuse for a USB keyboard[0] to not work in Linux (or any other OS
with USB support), and PS/2 keyboards are essentially a subset of the
USB keyboard spec - there's no logic required on the line for a PS/2
keyboard to work in a USB socket, just a rearranging of the pins.
So, in the same way as you can expect any PS/2 keyboard to work in any
PS/2 supporting OS, you can expect a PS/2 keyboard with a USB adaptor
to work in any USB supporting OS. It's probably quite possible to
fix the problem in software rather than circumventing it in hardware,
though.

[0] well, the standard bit of it. 'media' buttons are probably a
different matter, but you have 12 F keys anyway.
