Trying to update my installation I've set the network proxy in the Unity System Settings > Network as systemwide settings. The proxy setting for https worked, ftp and http settings disappeared. Worse: the http_proxy setting in .profile is actively unset. Is there an other solution than apt-get? Thanks Reinhard
