cannpt boot lvm with encrypted volume without usb

Hi

I cannot boot my ubuntu 11.10 64bit without a usb with ubuntu image on
it. I tried to grub-install /dev/sda (no error)
and that did not fix it. Once I boot, I don't need the usb flash drive
anymore. So I am guessing grub2
is not setup right.

Any suggestion would be appreciated
