Xorg.0.log 12.04 versus 12.10 seg fault

Ok, I set xorg.conf as so:

thufir at dur:~$ 
thufir at dur:~$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf 
Section "Device"
	Identifier	"Configured Video Device"
	Driver		"vesa"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
	Identifier	"Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
	Identifier	"Default Screen"
	Monitor		"Configured Monitor"
	Device		"Configured Video Device"
EndSection
thufir at dur:~$ 


and ran lightdm after a clean install.  Works :)



Hopefully, this solution will "stick".
