fresh install ---blooming DVD drive not recognized AGAIN <SOLVED> now broken again.

Have you replaced the 80 pin cable? Why are you master and slaving it
don't you have two IDE ports on the mother board. Are you running any
other drives on IDE besides the hard drive and DVD. How old is this thing?
