By default:

* Single taskbar @ bottom of screen
* single launch menu @ bottom left
* status area bottom right
* panel arranged like taskbar: button for menu, then quick-launch
icons, then task switcher, then status icons, then "tray"

*Much* more Windows-like than GNOME 2's two separate panels.
