The window-control buttons of an application window aren't a feature
of the application, of course. What crazy OS would have every
application include the code to open/close/minimize/maximize windows?!

HUD is provided by the "desktop" to the applications.

Which deb package provides HUD? Unity.

Against which package are HUD bigs filed? Unity.

Which package is updated when a HUD bug is fixed? Unity.
