Thunderbird update

Thank you for this Jim, I myself have not experienced it, but a friend 
of mine has, I was wondering though....she complained to me that she had 
installed Ubuntu 12.04 and that she was also running Thinderbird (I 
believe it's 12?...not sure though) and she couldn't access her folders 
and files on a corporate Exchange server......what could be the problem 
there?....certificates?......permissions on the server side? or 
something else? any help you could give would be helpful!
