Setting up KVM guests with DRBD block device for storage using vmbuilder or virt-manager

I used to like adding raw block devices to guests for the speed boost, but
trying to do so with LVM was problematic. Do DRBD block devices require the
use of LVM?

The bridge looks fine. When you add a network device to the guest, select
'specify shared device name' and type in br0,  does it not work?
